Parent Kids Jiu Jitsu

Jiu Jitsu, on the surface, is a martial art focused on grappling and submission holds. But ask any person who has trained what Jiu Jitsu is, and you’ll get a whole list of different answers and reasons justifying them. A common answer is Jiu Jitsu is a community and this is apparent when you come to Gracie Barra Costa Mesa. We really believe in building the community from the grass roots level. That is why Parent kids classes, pot lucks, parties, seminars, black light rolling, etc. are fundamental to who we are at GB Costa Mesa.

It is such a pleasure to introduce for the first time the art of jiu jitsu to people who have never trained. What is more satisfying (in my opinion) is getting the parents, who take the kids up to 6 days a week, to train Jiu Jitsu for the first time! Not only are we promoting the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle, we are hoping to bring closer the families who make up our community! Here are some photos from the event: (Check Instagram for videos!)
